The functions of the Division of Legal Affairs are as follows: to draft local regulations and rules on gardening and forestry development; to put forward policy proposals and to inspect their implementation; to organize and guide the Bureau to work according to law; to examine the legitimacy of the regulatory documents; to supervise the administration on law enforcement and open governance; to carry out publicity and education work on legal affairs; to undertake the work on administrative reconsideration and administrative compensation cases as well as to act as agent for administrative lawsuits; and to organize administrative hearings.
