The functions of the Division of Liaison are as follows: to facilitate the implementation of compulsory tree-planting laws and regulations; to carry out policy study; to organize and coordinate compulsory tree-planting activities of various agencies and institutions such as the CPC Central Committee affiliated agencies, Central Government agencies, the People’s Liberation Army, the Armed Police Forces and other organizations or international friends; to coordinate relevant departments in greening activities; to carry out external exchanges and be responsible for related liaison work; and to coordinate the publicity activities on greening and beautifying Beijing.
