The functions of the Division of Forestry Policy and Forrest Resources Management are as follows: to be responsible for the management of forest resources and forestry policy; to work out forest resources inventory plan, to draw up relevant rules and to organize in forest resources survey, statistics and dynamic monitoring; to be responsible for the work in relation to forest logging on the basis of “who harvests, who pays”; to take the responsibility of the work in regard to survey, classification and registration of forest land, forest ownership registration, licensing management, and assisting to cope with forest ownership disputes; to organize in working out the forest logging quota; to be in charge of collecting and managing forest rehabilitation fee as well as the management of forest cultivation fund; to coordinate the work on integral use of wood resources; and to be responsible for the administrative licensing work in relation to forestry policy and forest resources management.
