The functions of the Division of Tree-fruit Industry are as follows: to put forward policy proposals and planning for tree-fruit development; to work out specifications for fruit trees as well as standards for fruit quality and safety and to bring them into inspection system; to provide information service and guidance for introduction, demonstration and dissemination of fine varieties of fruit trees; and to expedite the good development of fruit-tree associations and intermediaries.
