The functions of the Division of Science and Technology are as follows: to work out the scientific and technological development program and annul plans on gardening and forestry development; to provide guidance for R&D activities and achievements dissemination of key scientific and technological gardening and forestry projects; to organize in undertaking international cooperation and exchanges; to be responsible for the technical and professional grading of forestry workers; to be in charge of the protection and management of new varieties of plants; and to coordinate the work in relation to gardening, forestry and environmental protection.
